The Nevada State Society encourages every chapter to consider sharing its accomplishments, service, celebrations, and special activities through “With the Chapters” in The Daughters’ Portico.
This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the work being done by Nevada Daughters and share your chapter’s story with DAR members across the country.
Nevada Chapters — Let’s Share Our Stories!
The 2026 With the Chapters Article Participation Report shows that two Nevada chapters were represented during 2026:
- Red Rock Canyon Chapter — March/April issue
- Virgin Valley Chapter — November/December issue
With a new editorial year approaching, every Nevada chapter has a fresh opportunity to participate in 2027.
Each chapter may submit one “With the Chapters” article per calendar year, giving chapters an opportunity to highlight accomplishments, milestones, service projects, commemorations, and other noteworthy activities.
Upcoming Deadline: October 15, 2026
The submission deadline for consideration for the January/February 2027 digital publication is:
October 15, 2026
Chapter leaders are encouraged to begin identifying a chapter activity or accomplishment that would make a great story.
Don’t Forget the 2026 Chapter Achievement Award!
There is another important reason to submit an article before the end of the year.
Under Section 6B — DAR Magazine/Newsletter of the 2026 Chapter Achievement Award Planning Guide, a chapter can earn:
25 Chapter Achievement Award Points
A chapter earns 25 points if it submits a “With the Chapters” article to the DAR Magazine Office by December 31, 2026.
That means there is still time for Nevada chapters that have not yet submitted an article during 2026 to take advantage of this Chapter Achievement Award opportunity.
What Could Your Chapter Share?
Consider telling the story of a:
- Historic preservation project
- Constitution Week activity
- Veterans program or service project
- America 250! event
- Community service project
- Educational program
- Patriot recognition
- Chapter anniversary or milestone
- Special community partnership
- Meaningful chapter program or event
Every Nevada chapter has a story worth sharing.
Let’s Put Nevada in The Daughters’ Portico!
