Celebrate Daughters
A Special Place for Daughters
The Celebrate Daughters Committee is a redesign of the Women’s Issues Committee established in 2001 to reflect the needs of the women in DAR today. The Storage Administration is focusing on redesigning this committee to “Illuminate the Legacy” of our membership past, present, and future. The committee will highlight Professional Development, Health and Wellness, and Celebrate our Members. Today’s DAR is historic preservation, DAR is education, DAR is patriotism, DAR is friendship and DAR is family. Celebrate, connecting, engaging and recognizing the women in DAR is the mission of this committee. DAR was founded by dedicated women and each of us have a responsibility to work together to continue the legacy of DAR.
This committee calls every member to action
Celebrate our Daughters while Illuminating the Legacy of DAR!
Committee Pillars
The committee will be comprised of three main pillars that will allow us to focus on member interactions with one another in our organization. There are Professional Development, Health and Wellness, and Celebrate our Membership.
The first pillar is Professional Development. Historically the committee has only scratched the surface of our members and their professional backgrounds. We will work to create resources for professional networking and mentorship programs to enrich networking opportunities between members across the country and world. This will provide an incredible depth of relationship building engagement and resources within our own membership.
The second pillar of the committee will concentrate on Women’s Health and Wellness to ensure that we are providing our members with continual resources to better their physical and mental health. Healthy initiatives are a vital part of making sure that our membership is supported on their personal health journey.
The third pillar will Celebrate our Members! Each one of our members brings talents, passion and life experiences to DAR. We want to highlight and recognize these women across the country and world for their many contributions to our organization, communities and beyond. This pillar of our committee provide an opportunity for our members to connect with each other creating a member’s community that highlight our common interests, professional and personal experiences and captures the essence of today’s DAR.
