We look forward to welcoming you to your National Headquarters for the 136th Continental Congress! This announcement provides the details you need to reserve accommodation at the JW Marriott Washington, D.C., located at 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. The National Society has secured a block of rooms at reduced rates exclusively for DAR members.
RESERVATION INFORMATION
This block opens for general membership reservations on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 12 p.m. Eastern Time. The reservation link and phone number will be posted here at that time.
Online Reservations: Members should use the Passkey system via DAR’s special reservation link, which will be provided in an updated version of this announcement on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. (ET)
Phone Reservations: Members may also reserve by phone beginning November 18 at 12:00 p.m. (ET). You must specify you are reserving in the “DAR General Attendees Block.” Please do not call the JW Marriott front desk or the general reservations line. Reservations made outside of the DAR block are not guaranteed at the DAR rate.
ROOM RATES (per night)
King Bed Room: $325 + tax
Two Double Beds: $355 + tax
Availability is limited. Two-double bed rooms are in especially high demand and may sell out quickly.
RESERVATION POLICIES
The following nonnegotiable policies are also in effect for the 136th Continental Congress:
- Each login may reserve one room only.
- All reservations at the DAR rate must be made by Thursday, May 20, 2027. Reservations after this date are not guaranteed at the DAR rate.
- Members who must cancel are required to do so no later than May 16, 2027, to allow others the opportunity to book before the block closes.
- Limited pre- and post-Congress nights may be available at the DAR rate, subject to availability. Official dates for the 136th Continental Congress are June 23 – June 27, 2027
- Special room requests cannot always be accommodated and double bed rooms are in high demand.
Tips for Securing Hotel Reservations
Begin at the JW Marriott Passkey website via the link that will be provided at 12:00 p.m. (ET) on November 18, 2026. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your reservation.
If you are sharing a room, designate one person to book and be sure to list all roommates on the reservation. Roommates may not always arrive at the same time, and a person cannot pick up a key unless her name is listed. This also prevents accidental double-bookings and penalty fees.
If the hotel is initially sold out, check back periodically (particularly in early May) when cancellations may free up availability within the block.

- Sunday, May 16, 2027: Deadline for cancellations without penalty.
- Thursday, May 20, 2027: Final date to reserve at the DAR rate.
